*HYALURONIC ACID a substance naturally found in the skin. The acid is referred to as a “filler” because it works to inflate the space between collagen and elastin fibers in skin. The acid also naturally attracts water, which can make sunken areas of skin appear more plump and voluminous. Hyaluronic acid has been used for many years by the Chinese and in surgery for wound healing, using it as a filler however is relatively new.

Hyaluronic acid can be used in fillers (Juvederm, Restylane) and topically (How I use it) before bed – the plumping effects are AMAZING! The plumping effects however are only temporary and regular use is required to sustain the effect. However, HA encourages growth factors for healing acne scarring – which is permanent 🙂
The appearance of your skin, scarring and wrinkles go hand in hand with the amount of collagen production in your skin. Basically, collagen is the number 1 best thing for the skin. This amazing protein is what is responsible for healing acne scarring. Combined with Hyaluronic Acid, and even Copper peptides (LOVE IT!) collagen serums can drastically improve the appearance of acne scarring and wrinkles!
